The University of Scranton’s Entrepreneurship program is ranked No. 33 in U.S. News & World Report’s national lists of business programs by specialty, based on peer review scores. Although this university may not be in the top 10, there is one thing that they are offering to students that no other college’s entrepreneurship major is.
Meet: The Wayne House
The University of Scranton’s Wayne House is an on-campus incubator designed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. This unique space was created for students in the Entrepreneurship Program to pursue their entrepreneurial endeavors on campus.
Students at the university rave about this resource that allows them to run their businesses and collaborate with like-minded individuals. We spoke to several students within the entrepreneurship major and this is what they had to say:
“Wayne house was able to provide something that seems to be extremely difficult to find in a college setting, an environment filled with like-minded individuals, primarily entrepreneurs in this case. This kind of environment pushed so many people around me and motivated them which made me want to hustle harder. What they say is true, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

This space is filled with tons of resources for entrepreneurs. Some include paper resources such as business plans and business model canvases, along with whiteboard walls, a conference room, soundproof recording studio, multi-media room, and numerous office spaces throughout the 3 floors.
“The Wayne House gave me resources I didn’t even know I needed. The “Think Tank” [the brainstorming room instead of the center] was the foundation of every idea because we all pitched ideas and gave honest but polite criticism which allowed me to expand so much more than I even knew I could.”
