Bill Pulte initially was known for his handsome inheritance from his grandfather (surprisingly, also named Bill Pulte) and his construction and real estate business in the USA. However, his latest actions have caught the eyes of many. Here’s what’s happening.
Coming from a world of private equity, real estate, corporate suits and a generous inheritance, this billionaire is the self-proclaimed inventor of Twitter philanthropy. He is gaining attention for handing out completely free cash to people on Twitter – no hidden terms or conditions. Bill credits his inspiration for philanthropy to the 22-year-old YouTuber – MrBeast. Pulte was particularly impressed by MrBeast for his #TreeTeam campaign which raised over $20 million for fighting against deforestation. He is now jumping on the trend of #twitterphilanthropy.
Although critics have questioned his credibility, he dismantled all the rumours surrounding it by making his intention to transform the process of philanthropy extremely clear. Its time to take the classic ‘write-you-a-check’ move into the digital era. He also made it clear that his charitable donations are actually from the money he himself has earnt – not from his grandfather’s inheritance (Source – Detroit Free Press).
