Beginnings
Katie Carney is a YouTuber from Long Island, New York. As her content suggests, she loves traveling. What’s unique about her is that she goes around the country in her trustworthy automobile.
She was making videos long before she began creating content surrounding living in a car. Her first video was about opening a bottle using a pocket knife. At the start of her YouTube career, she was living in Portland, Oregon. Katie was working two jobs at the time however, it was not enough to ger her apartment. During this time, she lived inside her car for 10 straight days.
Why?
Katie posted a viceo on her channel when she failed to find a place to call home. However, she quickly realized that her video “How I Sleep in My Car” garnered large viewership compared to her other videos. This became the spark that pushed her to create content about her adventures.
It’s more than just her adventures. Katie covers topics about self-love and self-care. She loves sharing among her fans how to find happiness and fulfillment with themselves. As she said in an interview, you do not need to be filthy rich to be happy. Katie believes in the power of motivation. She said that no matter how outlandish a goal can be, you’ll achieve it as long as you’re determined to succeed.

Current Adventures
Over the course of her career, she has driven in a lot of states. Beginning in November 2019, Katie decided to rent out an apartment. However, she still believes that she belongs on the road. She won’t stop traveling just yet.
