After the pandemic struck, everyone was affected in some way or the other. The economy of many countries collapsed. Some countries were not even equipped to handle such an emergency situation. Those who were capable of tackling these sorts of catastrophes were struck back a few steps before they regained their footing. Surprisingly, not everyone faced a hard time during these black days. Every cloud has a silver lining. Some people were able to jump-start their business even during these hard times.
Lockdowns During the Pandemic:
After the pandemic struck, many countries had imposed lockdowns in their areas. Some gave a time limit in hours, some in days, and some in even weeks. This situation was unlike anything the world had ever seen before. The last pandemic to hit the world like that was over a century ago. Since this is a virus capable of spreading through aerosol route, the first thing the governments of many countries did was restrict the movement of people from one place to another and to avoid gatherings of people.
Online Shopping:
For this very purpose, no one was allowed to go shopping or to collect groceries when the lockdown restrictions were extremely strict. People of the 21st Century adapt to whatever is thrown at them. The solution to this problem of lockdowns was immediately presented in the form of shopping online. Almost everything is available on the internet and you can buy it in singles or in bulk, up to you.
But the market of online shopping soured to unlimited boundaries and even now, with the emergence of vaccinations, there is no stopping this newfound trend. It is no wonder that people find it more accessible to just select and buy whatever they want while sitting in their homes. They are not bound to go outside to run errands or to collect anything important or even do groceries. Everything is within your reach with the click of your finger.
Increase in Small Businesses:
Just a few months into this pandemic and tonnes of paperwork arrived for the initiation of small and new businesses. A record was set for the annual increases in small businesses last year. It is no wonder that everyone took up what they were capable of to survive and maybe, even flourish during the tough times.
Shift to Online Classes:
In order to continue the education of students of all the institutions of the world, almost all the countries started this system of online classes. Online classes aren’t a new business in any way but the way this system spread among the masses increased the sales and growth of the software companies tremendously. Be it Google Classroom, Meet, Zoom or any other online system the people had adopted, the sales and shares of these companies went through the roof by the advent of online learning.
It is safe to say that some of the business starts enjoyed the best they could through the situations and circumstances the COVID-19 had presented. The world as a whole went through some drastic changes, as a result of the pandemic. Countries, economies, businesses, everything was affected on some level. But some people are opportunistic, through and through.
They rise to all the occasions and show others that even in the darkest of times, one should never lose hope and strive to do their best. Those are the people who were brave enough to take risks and start something new, a new business, even in these times.
