We’ve all heard the saying: behind every great man, is an even greater woman. This holds true in many aspects, and certainly in the case of Australian entrepreneurs Lewis Schenk & Aurelie Gnany – founder and marketing director respectively of Boost Media Agency.
Having achieved some rapid growth throughout 2020, Boost Media Agency has quickly become one of the most talked about public relations companies online. With a team of 7 and quickly expanding, Lewis and Aurelie have been flat out busy between managing their team and keeping on top of all their clients.
With a background in elite amateur golf, entrepreneurship, and events management, the end of 2019 saw Lewis’ passion and goals shift in a timely manner – transitioning from the world of golf into business. With his previous business experience coming from running an Australia-wide events company for two Melbourne based entrepreneurs throughout 2018-19, Lewis was quick to move when he saw the opportunity to build his own companies.
He was able to put all of his focus towards Boost Media Agency when events were put on hold at the start of 2020 – which has since seen him feature over 250 clients in the media this year alone. Lewis aims to have worked with over 1000 businesses, brands and entrepreneurs by the end of 2021, to help them grow their brand, build their digital footprint and increase their authority – a lofty, yet achievable goal. “Public relations is something that is misunderstood by a lot of people, particularly new business owners and entrepreneurs. They don’t understand it, which is why a lot of people don’t leverage it. My aim is to educate and bridge the gap, so that PR is a tool that more and more people utilise in the future” Lewis explains.
Studying Arts at university and working in Insurance sales, Aurelie’s skill-set was easily transferable to the tasks required for her at Boost Media Agency. Recently shifting from full-time copywriting to a sales and marketing role, Aurelie has been pivotal in the growth and trajectory of the company. “It has been great to take on more responsibility, and I’m learning more and more each day. I’m really excited for where we are going with Boost” stated Aurelie.
Their plans for 2021 are to relocate early in the new year and continue to build their team remotely. Lewis and Aurelie are certainly proving to the world that couples can be successful working together.
