How Do You Convert Your Followers Into Sales?

Social media addiction

If you own a business, you have already realized the power social media holds in marketing your business. Almost everyone has access to the internet, smartphone, and social media platforms. For the uninitiated, this is a call to explore the power of social media, now. Here are five tips to convert your social media followers into sales.

Expand

Instagram alone wouldn’t cut it. Relying on one social media platform would hurt your business in the long run.

If you wish to maximize sales, consider expanding your social media presence. Almost everyone has social media accounts, but some don’t have accounts on ALL platforms. Try expanding on to other platforms and use the data to identify which channel gives you the best results.

Understand your Audience

Users’ demographic characteristics vary per platform. Pay close attention to the data about each platform, what types of content do you think would fit best with the certain categories?

The best social media marketers understand who their target market is. Once they know who to talk to, they would follow it up with the “How.” Your target market dictates the emphasis that you need to put on each social media platform.

Promote

You would sometimes notice that some famous brands label their exclusive offers as “Instagram Exclusive”. They market their products on a specific platform instead of featuring it across all channels because it creates hype. It gives incentives to avid followers who always stay in the loop about their brands.

Be Consistent

No social media followers wouldn’t want to see inconsistent businesses. If you post inconsistently across your channels, there’s a great chance that people will forget you exist. Sometimes, if your offer is too good to pass up on, if people forget that you exist, then it’s a waste.

Be consistent in your channels. Always update your followers on your activities. Give them teasers on what’s coming up next. You could also speak on certain social issues. With this, you tell them that you are human too.

Leverage on Contests

Hosting contests in your profiles is a great way to incentivize your followers while converting other users into followers. You may want to host a contest where they will be asked to post a photo with a dedicated hashtag. If people click on the entry, they would be redirected to a page full of posts about your business.

This is a great way to leverage on contests. People (or your contestants) basically do the sharing for you. The word about your business spreads like wildfire, all because the competition was initiated.

In Conclusion

Social Media is a powerful tool in increasing the sales of your business. When done right, it rewards you with things you never knew would be possible. All you need to do is open yourself to the possibilities it presents; the rest will unfold right before your eyes.
