Make a schedule around school
As a high schooler, a lot of people would ask me how I would run a business while still in school. The answer is not as complicated as people would think. It is imperative that you make a daily schedule. You need to set a number of hours (if applicable) each day to run your business, whether that consists of designing, filling orders, or anything of that nature. Then, once you have a set time for each day, you can make a calendar of the times you are doing school work. As I did this, I noticed I was actually performing better in school as my business was growing. Organization is a key for success, in any field.
Sacrifice social time
This is probably the hardest thing I can tell anybody that dreams about running a business while still young. You need to be able to sacrifice a little social time on the weekend. Whether this is going to a party or playing basketball in the park, you need to cut that time in half. I am not saying to get rid of your social life. Rather, similar to what I said in my first tip, make a schedule on the weekends of times you are going to work on your business and times you are going to go out. I was able to maintain my business, school, and my social life and keep them all strong. As long as you are organized, there is no reason why you can’t too!
Take breaks
Do something every day whether it’s for 10 minutes or an hour, to help you relax. It is likely that you will get very stressed with having a lot of school work while trying to run a business. Everybody gets stressed. But a lot of stress can be avoided by taking a break every day.
