How many Hollywood movies have you seen in the past year? How many similar faces did you see in different movies? Well, Forbes has released its own list of top-paid actors and actresses for 2019.
Top Paid Male: Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson
It would not come off as a surprise to see The Rock on top of the list after raking in a total of $89.4 Million in June 2018-June 2019 before taxes. In that one year period, Johnson starred in Skyscraper, Fighting with My Family, and Fast and the Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. He also made appearances in TV Shows such as WWE Smackdown! and Ballers.
Top Paid Female: Scarlett Johansson.
The gender pay gap in Hollywood is still evident today. Johansson who starred in Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel, took home $56 Million in the same period. However, if a merged list would be made from Forbes’ list, she would sit only at the number eight spot, behind Adam Sandler and Bradley Cooper who made $57 million apiece.
Another female that would appear in a merged Top 10 list would be Sophia Vergara who starred in the Movie Bottom of the 9th and hit TV series Modern Family.
